The Team:
Heather (Me)

This weeks challenge was to do a Scrap Book Page or Layout with the Theme "All about Dad" for the upcoming Father's Day this weekend!!!

Here is my take on the sketch I decided to get out some pictures from our first born while we were still in the hospital with her (more explanation below)
Here is a close up of one of the embellishments.  I used purple fibers around some of my embellies and pictures.   I also got out some of my fun Metal pieces for scrap booking.

Here is a close up of one of my favorite pictures of Marvin giving Piper her first bath.  The corner pieces are metal pieces with embossed hearts.
Tag for Journalling
Here is the 2 page layout.
The above Scrap Book pages are from our first born Piper's First Baby Bath.
Since I had a last minute emergency C-Section after laboring all day and was not moving around very well, and because I was a nurse on Labor and Delivery anyway the Nurses decided to give my Husband The First Baby Bath Lessons instead of me, so these pictures were of the Nurse Giving my Husband his first Baby Bath Lesson!!!  Thus the Title Daddy's Baby Bath Lesson.

Recipe:
Basic Gray Designer Paper - Kioshi Paper Pad and Green at Heart Paper Pad

I hope you can play along in this two week challenge just create any kind of scrap booking creation with the theme of "All about Dad"!!  Then visit The Crafty Little Place blog (link above) and link your creation up!!!

Have a Stampendous Thursday Everyone!!!  See you back tomorrow for Farm Fresh Friday this week!!!

It is Farm Fresh Friday time with The Greeting Farm DT!!! A New Sketch Challenge from Team Mate Mercy.

It's a Green Sketchy Kind

of Day!!!!!

Happy Friday Everyone!!!!

How are you all today???  We are doing good.  Everyone is Healthy and Happy which is all you can ask for and more than you need some times right????

You may have noticed my Stamping Posts have decreased in number these days and that is only because I am pregnant enough and Huge enough now that finding a comfortable position to sit in and try to craft is getting hard.  If I find a comfortable position to sit and stamp in then I can't breath cause my ribs and organs have been pushed up so far that I pretty much have to be leaning back when I sit to breath well and if I lean forward to craft then it cuts my breathing and my circulation to my legs off which in turn makes me have swollen legs and ankles!!!

It is all part of Pregnancy and I am O.K. with that because the end result is worth it, but I sure do miss my Creative and Stamping time I always had before!!!!  So I am wondering if I should do more posts with what is going on with us even if I don't have the energy or ability to stamp that day, but then I am not sure if anyone wants to read just info about us without any creations?????   Hmmm perplex decisions right LOL!!!

So today is Farm Fresh Friday with The Greeting Farm DT!!!!!  Our wonderfully talented Mercy made a pretty fun sketch for us to work with this month!!!!

Once you are done here you will def. want to head out and check out all of the Team Mates creations and also head out to The Greeting Farm Blog because the Scrap Booking Team also joined us this week with a new release for the Srapping side of things!!!

Now Here is my Creation for this DT Challenge - (sketch by Mercy above)
I just can not get enough of that very cool DSP from Basic Gray the Origins Paper Pack I am sorry if you don't like it cause I know I have used it a lot the last several months!!!  I also used SU Card Stocks in Basic Black, and Old Olive.  I used SU Satin ribbon in Kiwi Kiss on one side and Very Vanilla on the other side.  I added some Prima Pearls to the four corners of the layer with the image on it, and I added some Prima flowers to the right side to match the sketch!!!!
Image colored in these Copics:
Fur: C1, C2, C3, C5, C7, 100, RV00, RV02
Clothes and Hat and Jar: G20, G21, G24
Bread: E31, E35, RV10, RV21
And one last view to show you some of the Dimension!!!  All layers popped up using excess foam and rubber from my TGF stamps!!!

I hope you have a wonderful Day!!!!

It looks like Wheat Harvest is about to start there were some Farmers attempting to cut tonight so pretty soon Marvin will be in full swing buying and selling and all the other fun stuff with grain for Wheat Harvest.  He usually works about a month straight with no days off so we miss him terribly but it is just a part of his job so each year I get to be a single Mom for about a month and then Daddy gets around to being back home more when his 500 plus farmers he works with rap up all of their varying Wheat Harvests!!!

Wish us Luck this Year!!!

Have a very very very Stampendous Friday Everyone!!!!  I know we will it will be a wonderful pretty day here I can already tell!!!

Well this last week I joined the Scrap Book Challenge Team at Die Cuts R Us a DT I was already on, but I was not on the new Scrap Book team and now I will be doing the Bi-Monthly Scrap Book Challenge with them as well.  So Every other week I will be doing the Tuesday Card Challenge and every other week I will be doing the Thursday "Let's Get Scrappy" Challenge with them.

So this challenge started this past Thursday.  Some personal family issues came up that required my attention so I am a bit late putting up my first "Let's Get Scrappy" Challenge Post but I thought this challenge was fun and it got me scrap booking again so I wanted to make sure I got it up for everyone to see.  I hope you will join in with us on the challenge this week.  You have two weeks to do each Scrap Book Challenge!!!

Here are the links to our New DT Blog, The Die Cuts R Us store, and my very talented, supportive, and sweet team mates!!!!  Check out the DT Blog and their personal blogs from Thursday to see what creativity the Scrapped too!!!

The Team:
Heather (Me)

Now I can never seem to figure out how to get that perfect picture of Scrap Book pages?????  How do you take your Scrap Book pictures????  So anyway since the OTT light and my Flash on my camera
put a shine on the pictures on the Scrap Book page I am putting the pictures on here for you to see if they are hard to see on the scrap book page anyway.

In August Marvin and I will be Celebrating our 10th Anniversary and so when I saw the papers Claudia sent us to work with them made me think of some of our Honeymoon pictures.

We Honeymooned at the Caesars Palace Resorts in The Pocono's in August of 2000.  There were 4 Resorts and we choose to stay at Paradise Streams Resort because it was mostly for Honeymooner's.  We did have a rental car and visited all 4 of the resorts to do certain activities at each resort as well.

Each night for Dinner there was a Theme and these pictures are from the Hawaiian Tropical Night which was the 2nd night of our Honeymoon.  I hope you enjoy the pictures and the Scrap Book page.  The resort had a Photographer that came to our table each night and took pictures we could purchase the next day.  Being the Picture Fiend I am I purchased all of the pictures from each night to remember out Honeymoon by!!!

Hawaiian Tropical Night Honeymoon Pictures - The Pocono's

Now here is this weeks sketch we were to follow for our "Let's Get Scrappy" Challenge.

Doesn't that sketch look like fun???  I thought it was fun to Scrap Book anyway!!!
I changed the Stars on the Sketch to Flowers and I diagonalised the Journaling spots and I used the strips across the page to use the wonderful EKt Success DSP from Die Cuts R Us.

So Here is my Page I took two different pictures and uploaded them, but looking at them they almost look like the same picture LOL!!!
Recipe:

Here is a Picture of the Actual DSP I used to help complete the sketch available at DCRU link just above.  EK Success Desinger Paper.
Above is the list of the products I used from Die Cuts R Us on this challenge and the links to them.

Well that is about it for tonight this sketch and challenge were so fun to do and it felt so good to get a Scrap Book Page done, as I am so so so far behind on my Scrap Booking and I started out stamping as a Scrap Booker first so I am going to try and get back to it and get some of our Precious Memories in Pictures on Card Stock and Paper again!!!!  I hope you join in on the challenge and "Get your Scrap On" too!!!

Have a Very Stampendous Sunday Everyone!!!!
