Well, I am starting to feel a little bit better from being sick all day yesterday, but not 100% yet!!! However any better is way better than I was!!!! Yea!!!!

I have so many things I have to get done today tomorrow Friday and Saturday it is not funny my life is insanely busy this week!!!!! Piper's Birthday is Friday and today I am taking treat to her school at noon so I have to go pick up Willow early run by McDonalds get them some food drop them off quickly at a friends house and then run to Piper's School with her treats. This all got changed early this morning as I was planning to go to her school at 2:30 but long story short the teacher called and we changed it unexpectedly. Tomorrow and Friday Piper is out of school and tomorrow we have Piper's Parent Teacher conferences too. I will not bore you with every other little detail, but there are DT things due, cleaning that is mandatory, party stuff to get ready, and about 90 other things too!!!! Aaaaa this too shall pass. LOL!!!!!!!! I really am laughing here it is funny that so many things fell in one week.

So anyway here is my card. Our challenge was to use Orange and Yellow this week. So I used Orange and Yellow and got out some of my SU DSP with orange, yellow, green, and blues on it. I stamped the Flutter By's in Summer Sun and Only orange punched them out with my SU 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" SU punches. The flower and the sentiment are from the same Stamp set. I thought it was funny that the sentiment matched the DSP with the letters in the circles like the DSP, since I did not plan any of it!!!! .......

Madelynn's Twinkling Tuesdays #11 - Quick Post I'm Sick

Madelynn's Twinkling Tuesday Inspiration Challenge

This is a very quick post I am really not feeling well and I don't have enough energy to do my normal Twinkling Tuesday Post! Sorry!!!!

So in my side bar be sure to check out all the other Twinkling Tuesday girls great cards this week!!!! Madelynn gave us a twist this week and gave us an inspiration challenge instead of another sketch drawn by her. When I saw the Inspiration I immediately thought of Pretty Hat Anya, and her pretty bow for her hat. I also thought of Red and White stripes and colors so that is the reason for this Bright Red and White Card. I really did not do great on the coloring of her face because I messed up on the Red eyeshadow I wanted to add on her eyes and then I tried to blend it all in, and it really made her face darker then it needed to be.

Purple Angel Anya Sympathy Card

With Sympathy - and Pretty Purple Angels

O.K. I appologize in advace if you find any mis-spellings. I hit spell check 4 different times and every time it showed no mis-spellings and I have a hard time believing that as fast as I type so if there are some I am sorry I tried!!! LOL!!!!!

Yesterday I had to make a sympathy card for my goodfriend/next door neighbor/SU downline Tasha. Last Sunday her Grandpa died and the funeral was on Thursday. I did not have time to sit down and make the card until Friday, but at least I got one done!!!

My other good friend/SU Downline Emily had pictures of lots of Anya's and Ian's she had laminated on her blog that day and she had done a Princess Anya in all purple including her hair. Emily hates the fact that she spends so much time and care on her Anya's and Ian's that she has decided to laminate them and put a magnet on the back of them so when the person gets ready to throw (GASP!!!!!) the card away they can have a pretty Anya or Ian Magnet for the fridge!!!! That is a great idea I think!!!! I loved the way it looked and wanted to try my hand at an all purple Anya. So instead of the Princess I did the Angel for Tasha's Sympathy card. I have not used any Anya's and Ian's for sympathy cards yet but I thought this Angel Anya would make a pretty card. Tasha is also a huge fan/alumni of K-State so she is a purple girl too!!!

So here is my card. I used SU Cardstocks, Lavendar Lace, Lovely Lilac, Perfect Plum, and Elegant Eggplant, Orchid Opulance, and of course Whisper White for the image. So far I have not had any trouble coloring my Copics on SU paper except with blacks and some browns. I have tried Georgia Pacific, Paper Trey Ink, Neenah, and SU and I actually find the colors are the most true to the real color on SU paper funny huh??? I distressed the Purple layer (Orchid Opulance Paper) her White Circle is on with my Handy Kitchen Steak Knife!!!! LOL, and I edged the white circle with my Elegant Eggplant SU Marker to give it some definition. I usually cut out my images and put them on the paper I want them just how I like to do it, so Anya is Popped up with Stampin Dimensionals and then a couple of the other layers including the sympathy layer is popped up using excess rubber and foam from my stamps.

I sharpened this image up quite a bit so if it showes up a little streaky or coloring seems Fuzzy to you it is really not like that in person!!! The colors are so smooth and pretty in person. I wish we could make all our cards look like they do IRL (in real life) on the internet!!!!! LOL!!!

I stamped her in Momento Black Tuxedo Ink and then Colored her in with R00, E00, E95, and 8 or 9 different BV's and V shades of copics. Her Halo is Y06.

I used Angel Wings and Lilac Shimmers on her Wings, Eye Shadow, and Halo. On her wings I actually painted the whole wing in Angel Wings (ha ha how fitting to do Angel Wings in Angel Wings Shimmerz!!!!). Then I took the Lilac and painted a thin line just inside the black outline of the wings with Lilac Shimmerz. I then took the Lilac Shimmerz and did her eyelashes too. The Halo I shimmered with Beezwax shimmerz. I do not know why, but I could not get a good Shimmerz view like I usually do!!! I turned her at all angles in different light and just did not get one this time. Maybe the lighting was off or somthing!!! You can kind of see the shimmerz on her eyes and the Halo here, but I never did get the wings to show up and that was the prettiest part with the two different shimmerz colors!!!

Look Hard and you can see the Angel Wings and the Lilac Shimmerz on her wings you just can not see the sparkle and shine????

I got out my pearl buttons and wanted to put 3 or 4 of them in the corners either on the Angel Layer or the outside layers but it looked like to much bling for a sympathy card so I just put one Pearl and Silver Button on the top corner and got out my silver shades of Dew Drops and put the silver silver ones on the other 3 corners. That seemed to take less away from what the card was really about.

I stamped the Sentiments with my SU Markers Eggplant and Lavendar Lace, and I stamped the Quote Sentiment with Whisper White Craft Su ink and embossed with White SU embossing powder.

I am bad about really doing my insides up Pretty like so many people do (Especially Danni she is awesome about it!!!!) , but I did a little here. I embossed the sentiment the same way and I rounded the two bottom corners with an elegant corner rounder.

Well I guess that is about all for this card. Today we have Church in the A.M. and in the Afternoon I have to do Pipers Birthday invitations!!!! I am so so so sad that my first Baby is going to be 7 years old!!!!! That feels so old it is like she is now leaving her "Little Kid" years behind and starting into her "Big Kid" years!!!! This Birthday is hard on me and she will not be 7 until next Friday at 10pm because I want her to be 6!!!! I always have loved my kids to be little and the older they get the harder it is on me!!!! It goes by so so fast!!! It seems like just yesterday I was pregnant with her and now she is turning 7 that means it was almost 8 years ago we found out we were having our first baby, WOW where does the time go???? Where do the years fly by too??? It has all gone by so fast and I wish I could slow it down!!!! She is almost half way done with her years at home with us!!!! Oh my that is not a good way to look at it!!!!!

So anyway I have to get her invites done and then I need to work on some other projects and really work on getting the house ready for company next weekend for the Birthday Party!!!!

The kids are out of school Thursday and Friday so Piper will not have school on her Birthday so I will take treats to school on Wednesday for her. Need to figure out what I am making for that too!!! It is going to be a busy week, and I also have to figure out what kind of order we have to put in for our SU workshops coming up!!!!! We have to place that order either on Monday or Tuesday Morning!!!!! Tuesday I also have to go in to have the Bridge work started on the tooth I had pulled two weeks ago!!! Thursday we have Parent Teacher Confrences at School for Piper. Willow has the normal Monday, Wednesday, Friday Pre-School this week she is not out any days!!!!

O.K. I have talked your ears off now!!!! I am going to go get started I think I just scared myself typing all of this out because I did not really realize everything that has to be done by next Saturday!!!!! WOW!!!!

Well I said earlier that I wanted to share a card I did yesterday with you this evening, but I changed my mind I rescheduled the post for tomorrow because I have not had any stamping time today and so since I already posted today this will be fun to share tomorrow!!! It is still one of my favorite cards as of late so be sure to come by tomorrow to see it sorry for the change of plans.

I went and got my hair done today it has been 9 months since I have had my hair cut or styled or anything. Long story short, but I had been going to the same Hair dresser since I was 18 and now I found a new one which took a while and on and on and on. Anyway I got my hair done and never got any stamping finished for tomorrow so I am saving the other card for then.

It is a good thing I am a true Blondy or my hair would be brown by now in 9 months!!! LOL!!!!

So when I went to the AngeLfood Etsy Shop to find my inspiration piece and when I saw this picture I knew exactly what I needed to make for my Challenge Sample.

The New Stampin Up! Catalog that has been out for about a month now has several Game Night/Poker themed stamp sets and accessories. So I called my

Neighbor/Good Friend/SU! Down line - Tasha

I did not have the Game night stamp sets, but she did so I borrowed them and got to work.

So Here is my Etsy Card for this week. I think I may have to buy this set now it was fun to use!!!! It was so perfect for this Inspiration don't you think??? All Supplies (Stamps, Card Stocks, Inks and Adhesive are Stampin Up!

I used one of my stencil templates and traced and then cut out the shape of the cards x 4 and then I took the stamp that has all 4 Card symbols on it and stamped the Heart 4 times once in each corner, and then the spade 4 times, once in each corner ect.. ect...

Then I took that stamp and stamped it all around the boarder of the card in whisper white craft SU Ink. I heat set it with my embossing gun because I knew I was going to be doing some embossing on the card and I did not want the border to take any of the embossing powder. I then inked up the rest of the stamps with my SU Markers Real Red, and Basic Black for the rest of the card and then cut them out with my SU craft and rubber scissors (if you do not have a pair you need them they cut through rubber like it is fabric and they are just so so useful in many ways!!!

I took glue dots and adhered the 4 cards together with the dots, then I popped up all the images on the card with Stampin Dimensional's. I loved the Red, Black, and White Combo she had on her cookies so it really worked with the Game night sets!!!

Now for some other news. Next weekend from 9am until 6pm Pacific time we will be having the Etsy Inspired Blog Hop and Chat day!!! What is that you ask??? Well the Etsy Group has their own group on Paper Craft Planet and we will be chatting the day away and each hour there will be another challenge released!!! 10 great stamp related companies have donated prizes for each hourly challenge so you do not want to miss out on the fun and great prizes. Blogger gave me some fits earlier I tried to post this several times this afternoon, but I could only type the first line and then when I hit enter my cursor disappeared and I could not type anymore??? Ever have that problem??

So I had my monthly Stampers Club last weekend Sunday the 15th and I wanted to share the projects I designed for all my stampers to do. I hope you enjoy them!!!

This First Project is a Saint Patricks Day Card. I had them use the Big Shot and the CB folders Swiss Dots, and oh I can not remember the name of it, but it has circles and flowers and flowers in the circles on it. Card stock colors are Glorious Green, Gable Green, and Green Galore We used the SU St. Patricks Day set Pinch Proof. This set is really cute and I have made lots of cute things with it both last year and this year.

This Next Project is a Valentines Day Project. We did make it the day after Valentines but I wanted them to be able to make something with the really cute Scallop Envelope Big Shot Die SU sells. I cased this card from my Next Door Neighbors Cards of the month club and just made a few changes to it for my club to do. Card Stock colors are Real Red, Pink Pirouette, and Pretty in Pink. I used some paper from a Valentines Day Patterned paper from a few years back I had left over. Stamp Set was SU Love You Much set. I got this set free for having a $400 workshop within 2 weeks of going to SU Regional's last fall in Kansas City.

The last card some of you might have seen a card a lot like it I made for Flutter By Wednesdays. I just dressed it down a bit so it would be more fitting for my club members to do, as they have 3 projects to do in 2 hours time. I used SU set Flight of the Butterfly which I really love and I actually earned this set free for having an SU workshop reaching the $350 level last fall. Card Stock colors are Yo Yo Yellow, Whisper White, Ink colors are Passion Pink, Yo Yo Yellow, Only Orange. I had them draw in the perforated lines on the top note with Passion Pink SU marker and just run the Only Orange marker along the side of the top note to distress it. I had them stamp the flutter by's in one color and then distress them by running another color over the top.

I think that Sentiment is very appropriate for a butterfly set.

Above it the version I had my Stampers Club do, and below is the version I made for Flutter By Wednesday several weeks ago. Funny how you can make one card look totally different by just tweaking a few things. The Yellow DSP below has a swirly pattern going through it so I had them cuttle the Yellow Card front above with the CB folder D'vine Swirls. I think that is my favorite Cuttle Bug Embossing Folder!!!! I had never thought before about cuttling the actual card front in the past I have cuttled a separate layer, but not the actual card!!!!

Well I guess that is all for right now. Since this post was actually supposed to be Thursday's post if blogger had been cooperating I will probably go ahead and come later to share the card I have for Friday's post.

Pink Cat Studio Challenge on PCP

New Pink Cat Studio Challenge

Well this is my 2nd post for today so scroll down for today's Flutter By Wednesday Post!!!

Well this week it was my turn to issue the new Challenge on our Pink Cat Studio group on PCP!!!

.......

Now I accidentally broke my own challenge rules and I really did not mean to, but when I was making this card it would just not fit into the shape I said the challenge had to be!!!! LOL.

........

The challenge is to go to the Pink Cat Studio Store look through the stamp sets and pick one for inspiration. Then choose another Pink Cat set that you have and make a card from inspiration from that stamp set. So my inspiration was the Farm Animal set, and I made my card using Lily and Billy with the frog on his head. I stacked them up just like the farm animals are stacked up. Another thing I thought of was to take the Milly Moo stamp and use the reflection technique and to make Milly Moo standing back to back like Lily and Billy in the sweet heart stamp set.

So I colored Lily and Billy with my copics cut them out and stacked them up popped them up with Stampin Dimensionals and then found some cute DSP's, added some ribbon, and a couple of Brads for embellies and WaLa there you go!!!!

Flutter By Wednesday time, some Sparkle and Shine!!!!

Silver, to the Blue, to the Purple, to the Flutter By!!!

Hi There how is everyone today???

O.K. my first question of the day is, what happens to those sweet little babies??? My Tucker was the most perfect child from birth to 18 1/2 months he was so easy to take care of. I could not have asked for a better baby!!! Now he is 19 1/2 months old and quite the little trouble finder and maker. Today I turned my head just long enough to pop my contacts in and the trail he left behind was almost hilarious except for the fact that my engagement ring was gone off my dresser. My wedding ring (I never had them saudered (sp?) together) was on the floor along with my watch and bracelet, but no engagement ring and that was the expensive one!!!

Long story short, I eventually found the ring in a drawer that was slightly open in must have fallen in while he was pulling other things off the dresser, it is just that my little love bug is a weapon of mass destruction these days!!!!! LOL!!!!

......

Oh I love him to pieces and won't trade him for the world he is just making life more difficult these days, I feel like everything I get done he undoes!!! LOL!!!!

......

Oh Well this too shall pass and I will look back and wish these days back I am sure!!!!!

......

So now onto my card for today. It is Flutter By Wednesday and I did not finish my card last night because a good friend called that I do not get to talk to much these days so I talked to her and the card did not get finished until after I took Willow to Pre-School this morning.

So for my card today I am sorry it is not my most creative card, but I did think it turned out pretty, be it more simple than most and I am pretty sure I pale in comparison to the rest the team this week so that is why it is important you go check out their lovely creations to be blown away!!! LOL.

So anyway what I did was stamp this SU Butterfly in Whisper White Card Stock and then emboss it with Silver Glittered embossing powder which really made it sparkle and shine. The I took my Blue's Blue Violets, and Violet Copic markers and colored one of the Flutter bys with more purples and one of the flutter by's with more blues. I liked how they turned out what do you think??? The only thing is that when working with spaces so tiny you can not really do any shading in the spaces, but you sort of do some shading with the variations in the wings.

The top Flutter By is with the more blue colors of copics and the bottom Flutter By is with the more purple shades of copics. I literally had both the card stock and the DSP laying on my Dinning room table from two other cards I had been working on so instead of going down stairs to search through all my paper for what to use I grabbed them up and used them!!!! I am telling you I was way way too lazy this week and I apologize for that!!!!!! LOL. Really I am not Lazy, just exhausted from chasing the Monster around and fixing the Mass Destruction trails!!! LOL!!!!

Twinkling Tuesday's Time - K-State Power Cat Football

Well I am sorry I am late posting today, life is keeping me away from stamping!!! LOL!!!

Today is Tuesday and that means it is time for Madelynn's Twinkling Tuesday Sketch Challenge!!!

Madelynn is a little 8 year old girl and she draws some amazing sketches that we her DT team get to create cards from. It is a blast to be part of this wonderful group of woman on the MTT team. So make sure you go check out all their creations as well!!!

So Here is Madelynn's sketch from this week. She took it easy on us from Piper's doozy of a sketch last week!!!

This sketch was really fun to do, and I can tell you the minute I saw it I immediately thought of the Anya and Ian Cheerleader and Football player I had already inked up in K-State colors. Those of you not from Kansas might not know this but the two biggest Colleges in Kansas that are both in the Big 12 are Kasas State University (K-State) and Kansas University (KU). My Husband went to K-State so we are big K-Staters and so our colors run Purple and Silver for K-State. I bought this K-State 12 x 12 patterned papers a couple of years ago and had not done anything with it yet, and I will tell you I butchered the heck out of it to make this card too!!! I cut bits and pieces out of 3 different Patterned Papers while making this card!!!! I was so wishing Tasha my next door neighbor/good friend/ SU down line was home so I could borrow her K-State Power Cat stamp!!!!!!

The purples are not showing quite the IRL colors, but that is O.K. I guess You usually see K-State colors in a Royal Bright Purple we have lots of K-State clothes and accessories in our lives!!! .......

So that is My tribute both to Madelynn's Twinkling Tuesday Sketch Challenge, and K-State this card will of course go to my Hubby our Huge K-State Fan most of our Neighbors are K-State fan's, but there are a few KU fans around which is sad!!!! LOL!!!

Well Marvin was back to work today and Willow and Tucker have been having a blast playing and destroying my house for me to fix in a while!!!! They are having so much fun right now and Tucker who is 19 months old is really in a destructive mode at the moment. Uggggghhhhhh I miss my baby girls they did not get into things or mess things up!!!! He is into everything every minute which makes it hard for me to do much of anything but trail behind him cleaning the trail of destruction!!!! LOL!!!!

Today I still need to finish my Challenge card for The Pink Cat Studio Group on PCP that I issued yesterday, and I need to get my Flutter By Wednesday Challenge done too!!!

A special Valentines Day Card for the Hubby! - My Favorite Things

Well yesterday I had my Monthly stampers club and I will take pictures of our projects later to show you, but anyhow I made this card on Saturday for my Husband. In the morning along with the cards I had made for the kids I gave him this card.

Later that day though when the kids were fast asleep I gave him this card I had made him.

.......

I specifically bought this stamp set to make this card for him on Valentines Day. I had fun paper piecing the wall paper and drawing the floor however my bag of brown shades of copics were missing when I drew and colored the floor so I had to use my SU Markers to do the floor so it might have looked better if I had had my copics but I still think it turned out O.K.

The first Paper piecing I did for the wall paper I ended up not liking so I paper pieced it again and found this paper. It was all very fitting because Hubby spent the entire weekend painting our basement walls and we have a huge finished basement, Bright Red and Gray. So as I took this card to him while he was on a ladder painting red and gray paint it really worked you know!!!

I know most of you do know what Paper Piecing is, but if you do not what you basically do it stamp your image on white and then again on a patterned paper. Then you cutout the pieces of the image you need for your paper piecing and glue them on the white image and color in the parts of the image you are not paper piecing.

So the wall paper here is actually glued over the layer with all the coloring. Just the things that were colored I cut out of the Wall Paper layer so they would not get covered up on the colored layer. I actually used my friend Janna's idea and drew in the fishnet stalkings and the garters. The fishnets were easy just take your black SU marker and draw diagonal lines one way and then the other way and then take a gray copic and go over the colored skin on her legs to make the black fishnet stalkings.

So I colored the Girl, the TV, the mans legs, and feet, and the Automin with my Copics. Then the rectangle part where the floor is was just one blank outlined rectangle and I drew in all the floor boards and then colored them with my SU Markers.

I used Real Red, Basic Black, and Going Gray card stock on this card and that shimmery shiny ribbon I got at Hobby Lobby.

Now the sentiments for this set are kind of sexy sentiments, but every Hubby deserves a card like that once in a while!!!! Right???

Above is the sentiment I put on the outside and below is the Sentiment on the inside. There is also the sentiment I put at the top of the outside of the card you can see it above in the other pictures.

Needless to say Hubby loved it and even thanked me for it and he usually does not say much to me about my cards so I was glad I made it for him!!!!

Well I better go I have several projects due this week so I need to get some laundry put away and then do some stamping!!!!!

You do not know how badly I wanted to share this card with you when I finished it yesterday!!! I love this sketch and how it turned out!!!!

I knew as soon as I went to this weeks Etsy Shop Something For Every Bunny, I wanted to use my new Pretty Hat Anya Set as my inspiration. This shop is a Jewelry shop and I immediately thought of Anya and her pearl necklace and how I could bling that necklace up with Rhinestones and even though I am dying to use the pretty bow stamp that comes with this set to accessorise her hat I used a large rhinestone on the hat instead!!!!

So any way I took inspiration from the whole store for my Inspiration Card and since the Store is Jewelry here is what I made.

My only disappointment was that I realized I took these pictures before I finished Anya's face and added the rosey cheeks to her pretty face and I added two Rhinestone earrings to her too. I had already taken all the pictures and edited and I thought if I had time I would re-take them and re-edit them, but I did not have time so just picture her with Rosy Pink Cheeks and Rhinestone earrings too!!! LOL!!!!

I do not use Sketches all that often but today I used the sketch because I wanted to enter to win the Miss Anya set that was released today. This sketch was so much fun to do, and if you want to see more about it go to the Club Anya Blog you can get to it from my side bar.

So Here is my Card. I used my Scallop Circle Nesties to make the Half Circles and I used my Paper Cutter, SU Card Stocks in Pink Passion, Pixie Pink, Pretty in Pink, and Whisper White to make the card along with two UID DSP's I got in paper packs. I got out my Bright Pink Shimmery Organza Ribbon and tied the bow to the bottom of the card, and I punched out the Sentiment with my Scallop Circle and 1 3/8" Circle SU punches. The Sentiment is from Pink Cat Studio's New Lily and Billy Sweethearts set, and I got to use my Mega Cute little metal library clips to attach the Sentiment.

Now for the Close Up Shimmerized View of Anya. I got out my Bubble Gum and my Burgundy Shimmerz to paint her up. I always color underneath whatever I shimmerize, but they give enough color off you would not have to!!!! I am addicted to shimmerz I think I have like 24 colors now!!!! I shimmerized the Hat, Skirt, and Dogs collar. I used those Rhinestone stickers and put them all on her Necklace and then I took 5 large ones and put one on her hat, and 4 on the corners of the matted Card Stock she is on. Anya is also popped up with excess Rubber and Foam from my stamps.

Oh one last thing. On February 28th. There will be a day long 9am to 6pm Etsy Challenge Day on our Etsy group on Paper Craft Planet. Some Cards for our Upcoming 50+ Cards Workshop

Sorry I did not get to post Yesterday and so late today. Have you ever had one of those weeks that is just an all bad, not good, rotten, stressful weeks???

........

Well I can not say it was all bad, because we are all healthy and God has granted me another good week with my children and family, but it has been a pretty tough week, and I feel the stress in my muscles and neck that is for sure!!!

I am not normally a person that lets things really "stress" me out so it is especially hard because I have been really stressed. So much is going on and a million things little mostly went wrong and everything seemed to take 3 times as long as it should have to get done??? Ever have those weeks???

.......

I can not tell you how much it helps to get new comments and such on my cards some times that seems to be the only positive feedback I get that day, so it is so nice to receive your sweet kind comments!!!!! Thank you for reading my blog and letting me know what you think!!!!! It does more for me than you know!!!!!

Last year our goal for the big Card and SU scrapbook Workshops during Sale-a-Bration was to get very creative and cute, and to showcase as many techniques and styles as we could the cards were all very cute, but no one finished them and we were handing out kits for months. So this year our goal was to go more simple with less layers and try to make cards they can complete in the 4 hour workshop. We still wanted them to be as cute as we could just less work involved. So we tried to limit ourselves to only 2 colors plus white, and as little cutting as we could and techniques that were more doable in the time allotted!!!

What do you think are they still cute but doable I hope they are not too simple, but since no one finished last year we really want them to finish this year???

This will be our 3rd Year to do these workshops and every year we learn a new way to make it go better the next year. This year Tasha has joined us in my Down line so there will be 3 instructors there and each of us will take a group and work with them on doing the cards we designed then the groups will rotate through the stations.

Emily and Tasha are my SU Down lines and good Friends. Tasha is also my next door neighbor, and good friend, who invited me to my first SU party, then I signed up in the next few months to be a Demo and then after doing it for 2 years she signed up too. She has been an SU customer for 12 years already. Emily I met at the first workshop I ever did and she fell in love with stamping and signed up right away. She is now one of my closest friends!!!!! I have had a total of 4 girls as my downline, but 2 of them never really did get started so they did not stay Demo's for that long. I am a firm believer that a Stamper's Club is one of the best ways to keep you going and keep your sales consistant. I have not done a home workshop in 2 years now because towards the end of my Pregnancy with Tucker I just could not keep up, and then the first year of his life I could keep up with my monthly Stampers Club, but not any workshops so I am hoping with the 4 workshops we booked off the Garage Sale last weekend I can start doing a few home workshops here and there and build up my customer base some!!!!

I love my Monthly Club!!!! It helps give me a chance to get out and be with other ladies and teach them new things and I learn from them too, and I get to be "Heather" not just "Mommy" or Heather Schlatter RN, not that being Mommy or a Nurse (although I have not been called in in months now) is bad, but some times it is nice to be "Heather"!!!!! LOL!!!!!

Last Year it was just me and Emily and we busted our butts running back and forth trying to help people doing 24 different card designs. So I think this will work better this year!!!!

Here is the Wedding Card I made. I wish all the glimmer and shine would show. I embossed it all with the silver embossing powder that has glitter in it so it is very very pretty, and elegant. The Silver Paper is that really shimmery sparkly metallic Silver Paper SU carries.

Here is another view I tried to get it to show the glitter and sparkle, but it did not do very good!!!

Why you may wonder is it 44, well Danni started Flutter By Wednesdays almost a year ago, but not many people were playing along so at the beginning of the year she started a Flutter By Wednesday's Featured Stamper team. Up until last week we just made whatever Flutter By Card we wanted, but last week Danni started challenging us to use specific things on the card. Like last week was the color Pink (Which I totally forgot we were supposed to do, and just lucked out that my card was like a million different shades of Pink on accident!!! LOL!!!!

This week the challenge was to Create a Flutter By Card using Butterfly's, Sparkle or Shimmer, and Buttons of some sort. So here is my card below.

Card Recipe:

Stamps: SU! Whimsical Garden, and Inspired by Nature (I love this set and it is my first time to use it!!! I have seen so many wonderful cards using this set. The set is not in the current Catalog, but it is on the Dormant list so you can still order it)

Ink: SU! Perfect Plum, Pale Plum, Lavender Lace, Orchid Opulence, Garden Green, Bashful Blue

Papers: SU! Card Stock in Whisper White, Elegant Eggplant, and Perfect Plum

Accessories: SU! Aqua Painters to do the sky with Bashful Blue ink (The sky looks much more sketchy then it is in person, in person it turned out really pretty I thought). Glue Dots, SU! Scissors, Colored Wire (in a deep purple color), Lavender Heart Shaped buttons.

Here you can see the Shimmers a little, and you can see the tiny Purple Heart shaped buttons I used on all 4 corners of the card. I shimmerized the Flutter By's with Royal Purple, and Angel wings depending on how I colored the Flutter By.

I then got out my spools of colored Wire and choose the Bright Deep Purple wire and ran it through the Button and twisted it shut!!!! :-)

I stamped the Flutter By stamps in 1 color of the Purples and then I took my ink pads and ran them across the stamp to give it a variegated purple shades look. Some stamps I only used 1 additional shade of purple, but on some I used up to 3 shades in addition to the original shade the stamp was inked in!!!

Address and Mail out all the flyer's for the upcoming workshops. Get all 23 cards and go through each one and decide how much Paper we need to order for the cards ie... 24 pieces of Garden Green, 12 pieces of Elegant Eggplant, 6 pieces of Whisper White, this is figuring out how much of each color of card stock is used on the card like 1/2 sheet Garden Green, 1/8 sheet Elegant Eggplant, and 1/4 sheet of Whisper White) I hope that all makes sense to you!!!!

Get all the Valentines for Piper's 1st Grade class done, and Willow's Pre-School Class. I was planning on doing a really cute home made Valentine, but I am not sure because I have so much stuff to get done on top of the Valentines I may have to do Store Bought Valentines!!! :-(

Twinkling Tuesdays with a twist- Temporary Twinkie Guest Sketch Designer - Our Piper Girl!!!!

Well you all may wonder where I have been for the last 4-5 days. I did not plan to be gone that long or that much, but Friday was spent getting ready for our big SU workshop, and then Saturday was the Garage Sale (Which went really well and we booked 4 SU! workshops off of!!! So Yea!!!!) and then I had the kiddo's to watch the rest of the day, and then Sunday Tucker was not feeling well with diarrhea and a slight fever so he and I stayed home from church. So I hope you hung in there with me and knew I would be back soon!!!

Today, - Monday I had to have a Molar Pulled out. Long story short 2 years ago that tooth had been root canaled and then crowned and they did not get all the infection and decay out when they did that work so for 2 years it has been decaying under the crown and the tooth fell out around New Years. It was too far gone to save so they re-glued the crown in until they could pull the whole tooth our today and then in two weeks they will begin work for a Bridge. Which really sucks for me because of their mistake I get to pay to crown 2 teeth that did not need it so we can create a bridge for the tooth they messed up on!!!! Oh they are willing to pay for the tooth they screwed up, but not the two that I now have to crown to fix their mistake. Maybe if they had listened to me 6 months ago when I told them that tooth was hurting and they told me it could not be because it was root canaled and crowned then they would have been able to catch this sooner???? Instead they told me I needed to have the tooth next to it root canalled instead which I did not do because I knew it was this tooth that hurt not the one next to it like they were trying to tell me!!!

If I was a more confrontational person I would tell them I think they should pay for all 3 since they made the mistake, but since they offered to pay for the one they messed up on, I kept my mouth shut and now I am brooding about it!!! Sorry had to vent for just a second there!!! LOL!!!!

So anyway today was mostly spent resting from the pain and being so tired from the trauma???

So I did not get to do a card until tonight, but I just had to do my Twinkling Tuesday Card because this is the first week for a Temporary Twinkie and guess who gets to be the first one???

Yep you probably already guessed right from my Title, but it is my 6 year old daughter Piper. She is so so excited she got to draw the sketch for all the Twinkling Tuesday Design Team ladies to make cards for!!! She can not wait to get home from school tomorrow to see all the creations!!!

So here is the Sketch Piper drew. It is a doozy, but I had fun making my card with it!!!

I told the other girls at age 6 I am not sure she knew what a sketch like this would take to make the card for it!!! She had a blast with it though!!! One of the first week's of Madelynn's Twinkling Tuesdays Sketch Challenge (The 8 year old little girl who normally draws this sketch and her own DT and Blog). Madelynn drew an X in the sketch. Piper loved it and so she wanted to incorporate that into her sketch and she also wanted to incorporate something she saw me to lately which was to take a corner rounder and round 2 corners and leave the opposite diagonal corners squared so that is what she did with layer 2 and layer 3 of the sketch.

Here is my Card for Piper's Sketch.

Here is the full card. I used Only Orange, Rose Red, DSP from an old Hostess Set Simply Scrappin pack that I have always loved but never used until this card, and the card stock stickers from that Simply Scrappin Pack are the flowers. The packs main colors are Tempting Turquoise, Pumpkin Pie, Certainly Celery, and Rose Red, with a little Only Orange, and So Saffron, and Chocolate Chip thrown it. So I choose to run with some of those colors to get my Card.

A while back Janna sent me a bunch of Sugar Nellies and this was one of them. I loved the one with the little girl and her stick horse because my girls play with my stick horse from when I was a little girl all the time. Tomorrow I will have to go through and find some pictures of them playing with that horse and add them on here.

So I colored the horse and girl and scene up with my Copics and SU Markers and cut it out and mounted it onto the Green Heart. If you look hard you will see I ended up leaving one of Piper's layers off and changed the little hearts around the card into the flower card stock stickers I added around the scene.

Well my tooth is hurting and I have got to get to bed, but I wanted my Twinkling Tuesday post to be on here for Piper since she got the Honor of being the first Temporary Twinkie Guest Designer for Madelynn!!!! Sorry I was not by on Thursday to post, or out to any blogs either!!!! I have been busy getting ready for 3 Huge Sale-A-Bration workshops we have coming up and tomorrow (or today actually) we are getting ready for a big SU Garage sale. All the stamp sets have been marked with the original price and then our price and then the lowest price they can get if they book an SU workshop. Our goal is to at least get 3 workshops booked on for Tasha, one for Emily, and one for me. This will give us a chance to meet new customers and keep our SU businesses up and going!!!! I am lucky enough to have my monthly Stampers club who I enjoy so much getting together with!!! I fear some times I get more out of it then they do!!!! However, Emily and Tasha do not have that going right now so if we all get a work shop booked that will give us some play money and keep them active with out much work anyway!!!! I have a ton of images colored and ready to go to cards and I still have those cards done for our workshop that I hope to post at least some of them later today!!!!! No promises though because I never seem to get to keep my promises to be back later these days!!! LOL!!!!!!

This week I decided to use one of my Pink Cat Studio Sets Paisley which I had never inked up sadly!!!! This set is so pretty and I am sure it took Melissa a million years to draw all of this!!!!!

This set also includes a very big Paisley stamp, a large Flower Stamp, a Dragon fly stamp a flower head stamp and others too!!! They all have this same paisley pattern in them!!!

I picked out a Paisley printed DSP to go along with the set and for some reason shades of Pink Spoke to me so I colored the Flutter By's with 4 different shades of Pink and Burgundy to color in with my copics!!!! Where you see what looks like bright red coloring it is actually a deep burgundy.

I used SU CS in Pink passion, and Whisper White, and the SU Curly Label Punch, and my Label 1 Nestie to frame the larger Flutter By. I took my RV09 Copic and ran it across the edge of the Nestie cut out in white to give some contrast against the light pink and white. I took some of my Sheer shimmery Organza Ribbon in both narrow light pink, and wide Bright Pink on the two ribbons on the card. I put this card together using Glue Dots, and Stampin Dimensional's!!!

Above and Below you can see the four smaller Flutter By's that I colored in with my copics. I colored each Flutter By differently and then punched out 4 Curly Label punches with my SU punch I popped up the Punches with Stampin Dimensional's and also popped the Flutter By's up with the deminsional's again. The patterned paper behind the Flutter By's is a deep burgundy with light pink polka dots and it is a distressed paper as well.

Here is a picture of the large Flutter By all by itself. They all were so much fun to color up!!! The Nestie layers are glued to the DSP, but the Flutter By is really popped out with excess foam and rubber from my SU! sets!!!

I am not sure if you can really tel the layers are popped up here, but if you can they look pretty that way!!! Well I need to head to bed, I just wanted to get my card up, because tomorrow is my day to help in Piper's Class. I am not sure but I almost doubt I will need to go because Piper's teacher fell and broke her arm yesterday and now needs surgery and I am pretty sure the sub will not have anything for me to do!!!

Yesterday I decided I wanted to try my hand at coloring a Red Haird girl, and what better girl to try it on then Anya!!!! Anya is so much fun to color up because she has so much surface area to practice your coloring with, and her hair has so many sections you can really do blending and shading and work with different shades of hair. She is great to learn how to use your copics on!!! If you have never been to the Greeting Farm to see all the great Anya's you can purchase the link is in my Blog Roll on the right, or I have the New Club Anya link on my side bar as well and you can get to The Greeting Farm from there. Did you all have fun at the Grand Opening of Club Anya on Sunday??? I was super stoked to win a Anya Pocket Mirror!!!! ....... So Here is My take on the sketch as my first week on the "Twinking DT"

Disclaimer!!! That Pretty Teal Card stock Anya is on is Glitter Embedded CS that is totally Shimmery and Sparkly till there is no Tomorrow!!!!

One thing that is not showing up that kind of bums me out is the thick Card Stock in the Oval is actually Card Stock with Glitter in it. It sparkles and shines like there is no tomorrow, and you can actually feel the bumpy glitter as you run your had over it!!!! I wish you could see it!!!!

The Teal Glittered Card Stock is so shimmery and sparkly that I had to work really hard to resist the urge to Shimmer Up Anya with my Shimmerz Paint!!! I really wanted to, but that Paper is so shimmery I just had to resist no matter how hard it was!!!! My Colors on this card are Teals and Auqa's in the Card Stocks.

I have been wanting to try my hand at the Red Hair and so I used all my shades of Orange Copics along with many shades of Brown to go over the Oranges and some pieces I put the brown shade down first and then colored over it with an orange shade!!! I really like the way it turned out what do you think????

Anya is stamped with Memento Ink Tuxedo Black, and then colored up with Copics. I do not remember all the shades, but if you have a question leave a comment or e-mail me and I will let you know the shade I used. I mostly used Earth tones and Blue Green Tones, along with my oranges and browns on her hair.

I used my Oval stencils (since my new Oval Nesties will not be here until almost March) and my paper cutter to make the layers. The small oval of the Sentiment is also a stencil and then the larger oval of the Sentiment I free handed around the other oval. I got out my pretty pearl and silver buttons I got a massive bag of from Hobby Lobby to accessorize my cards and Scrapbook pages with, and added one in each corner. The ribbon is totally think and so yummy and heavinly feeling double sided thick thick Satin Ribbon. One side is Silver and the other side is the Auqa and Silver pattern. It went perfect with my Paper I thought!!! I stamped the Sentiment with Perfect Princess set from SU! The Teal Cardstock is also SU! and the rest of the papers came out of my Scrapbook room so they are UID (unidentified).

This picture was another attempt for you to see how sparkly the paper is, but you can only see a tiny hint of it!!!! The whole thing just glistens and shines and sparkles enough to blind you!!! LOL!!!!!

Well I told you last night I had a Nurse Card that would warm Your Heart!!!! Here she is my first attempt at coloring Nurse Anya with my Copics. I can not take all the credit for her because one of my good friends Emily came over last week and stamped up a bunch of Anya's and Ian's to play around with because she got her first order of Copics in. She told me she had colored up the Nurse Anya with Gray Hair and a Pink Nurse Outfit so I had to give it a try. I have not seen Emily's Nurse so I am not sure this gives it any justice, but I wanted to try it anyway!!!!

Emily and I are both RN's Emily works in Oncology, and when I do work once in a while it is on Labor and Delivery but I do have 9 years experience in the OR on an Open Heart Team, so my true passion remains in Surgery, but it was just getting to hard with all the changes to keep up with the OR when I just do not work very often as I am home with the kiddo's. I worked on Labor and Delivery while in Nursing School so I ended up going back up there as a Call In Nurse before I quit doing Surgery.

So here is my Anya Nurse Get Well Card. We all need Get Well cards right??? I think Emily's idea of Gray Hair and Pink outfit are totally wonderful together!!!!!

I used the Hot Water Bottles and the Band aids and Sentiment from a retired SU! set I have, and the background stamp on the Gray paper is a SU! Cross Hatch background stamp.

I used my Copics in R00, E00, E95 for her skin, and the grays are C1, C2, C3, C5, C7. The Pinks I used are RV00, RV02, RV04, RV09, RV13, and RV23. I used SU Card stock in Pretty in Pink, Pink Passion, Whisper White, and Going Gray. The Bow is a bright Pink Organza and a light pink Organza ribbons tied together at the same time to make the bow. I also used my SU! ticket punch to do the corners on the Pinks and White Card Stock. The Water Bottles and the Band aides are popped up with Excess Rubber and Foam from my stamps.

Well it has been a week of Blessings here!!!! I had another wonderful week as a Mommy with my 3 kiddo's. No not as much House Work got done as maybe needed to, but I spent a lot of time playing with my kiddo's which is what they will remember later on right??? I also had the opportunity to go out to dinner (alone no kids) with a dear friend, I got asked to be on a Design Team I will be releasing that info on Tuesday!!!!!

If there is anyone reading that does not know what RAK stands for it is Random Acts of Kindness which the Stamping community is totally famous for!!!!

Plus my dear sweet friend Jami Bova sent me one of her first stamp releases (as a gift) along with some totally yummy ribbon, and a great card!!! Thank You so so much Jami you are the nicest friend a girl could ask for!!!!

Anne Ryan from Split Coast Stampers also sent me a beautiful card along with some great Images to color up as well!!!!! I will be adding pictures of Jami and Anne's cards later along with pictures of Jami's stamp set (she designed herself!!!!) and the yummy yummy ribbon she sent too!!!
