Going Bug and Frog Huntin with Lily and Billy

"Going Bug and Frog Huntin"
.......
I have two daughters my 6 year old Piper loves frogs and bugs, and princesses and jewelry, she is a well rounded girly girl who loves to hunt and find insects and frogs.
.......
My 4 year old Willow is deathly, and I really mean deathly afraid of bugs. She gets terrified when even a fly gets near her!
.......
Well I made this card for my 6 year old today they are always asking me to make them cards and I usually get busy getting projects ready for club or a workshop and just do not always get them done.So today when I sat down to do both the SCS Color Challenge and Lauren Meaders Saturday Sketch challenge card I thought I am making this one for Piper.
.......
The Color Challenge was to use Pretty in Pink, Red Riding Hood, and Kiwi Kisses Stampin Up Colors on your card. I took those colors and Lauren's supper cute Sketch for this week and came up with this card.
.......
.......
Recipe:
.......
Stamps: I got out my Dress up Lily and Billy Pink Cat Studio stamps and the accessories sets to make this Frog and Bug Huntin Card. Paper: SU CS in Riding Hood Red, Pretty in Pink, Kiwi Kiss, and Whisper White Ink: SU Markers in Real Red, Old Olive, Brocade Blue, Pretty in Pink, Blush Blossom, Apricot Appeal, Summer Sun, Chocolate Chip, Bashful Blue, Yo Yo Yellow, Staz On Black Pad Accessories: Big Shot, Cuttle Bug Embossing Folder Scallop Square Nestabilities, UID Hobby Lobby satin ribbon, 1 1/4 Circle and Square SU Punches Techniques: Dry Embossing, Die Cutting Coloring and Blending

Here is a close up of Lily and Billy with their Frog and Insect Finds!

.......
I stamped the images, colored and cut them out, then took my Scallop Square Nesties Die Cut and then embossed the Scalloped Square on Kiwi Kiss, then I cut the circles with my coluzzel, embossed them with the geometric circles cuttlebug folder, and took a Corner rounder and made the circles scalloped. That was my first time to try that! It was fun and worked but I got to get me them Scallop Circle Nesties!I took some cool Geometric ribbon with all three of the challenge colors in them and added it to the bottom corner.
.......

The Sentiment Medallion

I made the medallion using the 1 1/4" Circle and Square SU Punches. You Stamp the sentiment punch it out with the circle punch, and then take the square punch and punch out 4 punches. Here I did two different colors so you punch two of each color. Then you glue two of the squares together off setting the corners. Do that again with the other two squares and then fit them together with all the diagonals at a different angle then glue the two sets together and glue the circle sentiment onto that. I have done this using all one color and using 2 different colors in the past.
.......
Hope you enjoy my challenge card I had fun making it and Piper was super excited to get it when she got home from school today!

The Full Card at a different Angle

.......
Let me know what you think!
.......
Have a great day,
.......

Hi Heather

I like your blog. Your cards are gorgeous. I found your blog because I liked your comment on Jami's blog about 'God's will be done.' Your kids are so cute and your job sounds fulfilling. I also love photography and I teach. Feel free to pop by my blog some time :)
